New URSB Initiative Seeks Creative Solutions from Employees

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) has unveiled a new initiative to tap into the creativity and resourcefulness of its staff, aimed at improving services, streamlining operations, and boosting workplace productivity.

The program introduces a Standard Innovation Proposal Form, which staff are encouraged to use when submitting their ideas. The form is designed to make entries simple, structured, and easy to review.

According to URSB, the innovation drive will focus on six key areas: customer-centered service delivery, digital transformation, process efficiency, workplace productivity, compliance and security, and sustainability. Submissions will be reviewed by special committees tasked with assessing feasibility, potential impact, and alignment with URSB’s objectives.

Promising ideas will be piloted or adopted into practice, with contributors recognized and rewarded. The deadline for submissions is Friday, 10th October 2025.

Speaking about the initiative, Arthur Kwesiga, Commissioner for Information Communications Technology and Innovation, said the program offers staff a unique opportunity to directly influence the organization’s future. “We believe our people are our greatest resource, and through this initiative, we are creating space for everyone to share solutions that can transform the way we serve, work, and grow,” he noted.

The innovation call is part of URSB’s broader strategy to strengthen service delivery and ensure its operations remain efficient, secure, and responsive to the evolving needs of the public.

Staff across all departments are encouraged to participate actively and make their voices count in shaping URSB’s next phase of growth.
