URSB Staff Strengthen Leadership Capacity through Women in Leadership Programme

Three members of staff from the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) have completed the Women in Leadership Programme, a leadership development initiative aimed at equipping women professionals with skills to lead with confidence, influence, and impact.

The five-day programme, held from 15th to 19th June 2026 at Protea Hotel Kampala under the theme “Empowering Women to Lead with Confidence, Influence and Impact,” comprised women leaders and emerging professionals from the public and private sectors to strengthen their leadership capabilities.

Representing URSB were Ms Carolyn Nazziwa, Assistant Commissioner Registration Services; Ms Gloria Karungi, Senior Human Resource Officer; and Ms Catherine Alowo Odumbi, Communications Officer.

Organised by the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services, the programme focused on key leadership areas including self-awareness, leadership identity, negotiation and influence, executive presence, stakeholder management, personal branding, and career development.

Participants gained insights into building confidence, improving communication, strengthening professional relationships, and preparing for greater leadership responsibilities.

The programme emphasised that leadership goes beyond formal positions, encouraging participants to recognise their strengths, build influence, and take intentional steps towards professional growth.

The programme replicates URSB’s commitment to continuous staff development, leadership growth, and succession planning. By investing in its staff, the Bureau continues to build a capable workforce equipped to drive innovation, transformation, and excellence in service delivery.
