URSB shares ISO Journey as NCDC Benchmarks for Quality Excellence
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is on a determined journey towards achieving its ISO 9001:2015 certification, driven by strong leadership, institutional reforms, and commitment to excellence in service delivery.
URSB is steadily progressing, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to strengthen systems and provide consistent, citizen-focused services.
In recognition of its growing reputation as a center of quality management excellence within the public sector, URSB hosted a benchmarking team from the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) on Thursday, 24th July 2025.
The objective of the visit was to learn from URSB’s ongoing ISO implementation journey and to draw lessons that could inform NCDC’s institutional quality transformation initiatives.
The meeting was led by Deputy Registrar General Mr. Alex Anganya, who warmly welcomed the NCDC team and reiterated URSB’s openness to shared learning and peer collaboration.
“We are pleased to share with you the milestones, achievements, and lessons we have gathered throughout our Quality Management System (QMS) journey. We equally look forward to learning from your insights and experiences during this engagement.”
Mr. Anganya also highlighted the Bureau’s deliberate move to establish a standalone Quality Assurance Division, led by an Assistant Commissioner who reports directly to top leadership. This action reflects URSB’s deep institutional commitment to quality.
The benchmarking session covered key stages of the QMS journey including staff training, process documentation, and internal audits.
