URSB Celebrates Uganda’s Independence in Cultural Style
Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) celebrated Uganda’s cultural diversity and national pride by dressing in traditional attire on Thursday, 8 October, ahead of the country’s 64th Independence Day celebrations on 9 October 2026.
The celebration was held in the spirit of this year’s national theme, “Embracing our Sovereignty with Hope and Visionary Leadership,” bringing staff together to honour Uganda’s heritage, appreciate its diverse cultures and reflect on their shared responsibility in contributing to national development.

Dressed in colourful traditional outfits representing Uganda’s different communities, staff showcased the country’s rich cultural identity while strengthening unity within the institution.
The celebrations also featured a traditional lunch with dishes from different parts of Uganda, providing an opportunity for colleagues to appreciate the country’s diverse culinary traditions and celebrate what unites them as Ugandans.
Beyond the festivities, the occasion highlighted URSB’s contribution to national development through its mandate of business registration, intellectual property protection and other registration services that support formalisation, innovation and economic growth.

As Uganda marked another year of independence, URSB staff reaffirmed their commitment to serving the nation with professionalism, integrity and dedication.
The celebration was a reminder that Uganda’s strength lies in its diversity, unity and shared vision for a prosperous future.
