Experiential: URSB takes Business Registration drive to Mbarara

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) last week brought its business registration awareness campaign to Mbarara, engaging the local community in an exciting way. This initiative focuses on helping
small and medium enterprises (SMEs), startups, and aspiring entrepreneurs understand the importance of officially registering their businesses.

URSB’s lively team encouraged residents and business owners to look out for their branded truck as it tours key locations in Mbarara. Those whose businesses were already registered were invited to present proof for a chance to win cool branded items.

In addition to goodies, participants dived into an interactive “lucky dip” to test their knowledge about business registration. Correct answers led to fun prizes while educating attendees on the benefits
of formalising their enterprises.

Through campaigns like this, URSB emphasizes that registering a business opens doors to new opportunities, growth, and legal protections. This Mbarara activation is part of URSB’s larger mission to create a more inclusive and supportive business environment across Uganda, making it easier for everyone to thrive.
