URSB Reaffirms Institutional Stability, Service Excellence, and Accountability Before Parliament

The Acting Registrar General of the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), Mr. Mustapher Ntale, has reaffirmed the Bureau’s commitment to institutional stability, business continuity, customer- focused service delivery and accountability following an engagement with Parliament’s Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE).

The Acting Registrar General led a URSB delegation comprising officials from various departments and divisions during meetings with the Committee on Tuesday, 27th October, and Thursday, 29th October 2026.

During the engagements, the delegation briefed COSASE on the Bureau’s mandate, operations, governance and contribution to Uganda’s business environment and national development.

The Acting Registrar General emphasized URSB’s continued focus on strengthening internal organisation, maintaining operational continuity and providing firm, consistent leadership to ensure uninterrupted and responsive service delivery.

He also underscored the importance of positioning customer care at the centre of the Bureau’s operations while strengthening institutional systems, staff coordination and accountability mechanisms.

The meetings provided an opportunity for Committee members to seek clarification and offer guidance on governance, business registration and administration, the legal and regulatory framework, and areas requiring institutional improvement.

The Acting Registrar General reaffirmed URSB’s commitment to working constructively with Parliament and other oversight institutions, emphasising that transparency, accountability and continuous improvement remain central to the Bureau’s mandate.

The engagements demonstrate URSB’s commitment to institutional resilience, responsible public service and building confidence among businesses, investors and the public.
