URSB and Presidential CEO Forum Commit to Deepen Collaboration to Strengthen Uganda’s Private Sector
The Registrar General, Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Officer of the Presidential CEO Forum (PCF), Ms. Irene Birungi Mugisha, at the PCF offices at the Uganda Business Facilitation Centre in Kololo, Kampala.
During the engagement, Ms. Kainobwisho reiterated URSB’s commitment to working closely with the PCF in the delivery of its mandate.
The Registrar General articulated URSB’s conviction that the formalisation of Uganda’s economy through business registration, intellectual property protection, access to credit, and robust regulatory and business rescue frameworks was a prerequisite for the kind of private sector confidence and competitiveness that Uganda’s development agenda demands.

On her part, Ms. Birungi Mugisha expressed sincere appreciation for the support that URSB has extended to the PCF, noting that the visit was timely and confirmation of the cordial working relationship that has characterised engagements between the two institutions.
Ms. Birungi expressed optimism that the meeting would catalyze a more structured collaboration going forward.
The meeting proposed that the two institutions develop and execute a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide a formal framework for their engagement, defining the scope, modalities, and priorities of collaboration between URSB and the PCF on common areas of interest, especially on supporting the private sector through formalization in line with Uganda’s ten-fold growth strategy.
