Registrar General Mercy Named Among Uganda’s Top Female Lawyers
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is celebrating a major achievement following the recognition of the Registrar General, Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho, as one of Uganda’s top female lawyers reshaping the country’s legal sector by The Publicist East Africa.
This honour highlights women whose leadership, expertise, and impact are transforming the legal profession.
Ms. Kainobwisho’s inclusion among this distinguished group highlights her visionary leadership at URSB, where she has driven reforms in business registration, intellectual property protection, corporate governance, and digital transformation that have strengthened Uganda’s legal and business environment.
Her efforts have simplified processes, boosted transparency, and supported entrepreneurship, innovation, and investor confidence nationwide.
Joining Ms. Kainobwisho on the list are other influential legal minds shaping Uganda’s legal landscape. Fiona Magona Nalwanga is recognised for her expertise in corporate advisory, Alice Namuli Blazevic, known as “The Tech Lawyer,” leads in technology, blockchain, and digital law innovation, Pheona Wall SC, former President of the Uganda Law Society, for her leadership in governance and ethical practice. Shamim Malende, a key figure in constitutional law and human rights, has elevated access to justice for marginalised citizens.
These women represent excellence and diversity across legal specialisations.
URSB congratulates Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho on this well-deserved honour and celebrates the collective contributions of women leaders advancing Uganda’s legal profession and inspiring future generations.
