URSB Engages Key Stakeholders in Jinja to Kick Off Customer Engagement Week in Eastern Uganda
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) kicked off its Customer Engagement Week in Eastern Uganda with a series of stakeholder visits in Jinja City, laying a strong foundation for meaningful community outreach.
URSB officials held productive discussions with Mr. Geoffrey Nkurunziza, the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Mr. Rogers Kuboyo, the Principal Commercial Officer, and Mr. Daniel Gabula, Chairman of the Busoga Business Community. The meetings focused on strengthening collaboration to improve awareness and access to registration services at the grassroots level.
The stakeholders welcomed the engagement, noting that many entrepreneurs and small business owners in the region still operate informally due to limited information. They emphasized that taking services closer to the people is key to helping businesses understand the value of registration and compliance.
The discussions also explored practical ways to mobilise business owners to participate in the Customer Engagement Week activities, including on-the-spot registrations and sensitisation sessions.
According to the Mr. Nkurunziza, initiatives like the Customer Engagement Week play a critical role in supporting local economic development, especially as more people seek to formalise their businesses and access opportunities within the formal economy.
The Jinja stakeholder visits set a positive tone for the week’s activities, creating shared ownership and cooperation between URSB and local leaders.
