Mass Business Registration Clinics Sweep Soroti and Mbale to Close the Year
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) has wrapped up the year with mass business registration clinics in Soroti and Mbale, bringing essential registration services closer to entrepreneurs and traders in Eastern Uganda.
The outreach clinics attracted large numbers of business owners, start-ups and informal traders seeking to formalise their enterprises before the close of the year. URSB teams provided on-the-spot registration services, enabling participants to register business names, companies and partnerships, as well as update existing business records.
The clinics were part of URSB’s wider effort to support small and growing businesses by making registration simple, affordable and accessible. Many entrepreneurs welcomed the initiative, noting that it saved them time and travel costs while giving them direct access to expert guidance.

In addition to registrations, URSB staff conducted sensitisation sessions to educate people on the importance of business formalisation, compliance requirements and the benefits of registration.
The Soroti and Mbale clinics marked a strong finish to URSB’s 2025 outreach programme, which has seen similar engagements rolled out across the country. The Business team says the momentum will continue into the new year, with more regional clinics planned to reach entrepreneurs in underserved areas.
URSB reaffirmed its commitment to empowering businesses through formalisation, noting that registered enterprises are better positioned to grow, access financing and compete in the market.
