The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) will on Wednesday, 29th October 2025, conduct the second SIMPO Users’ Meeting at the Uganda Business Facilitation Centre (UBFC) Auditorium, Level 2, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Held under the theme “Bridging Gaps, Building Solutions and Partnering with Users for Better Services,” the engagement aims to strengthen collaboration and enhance user experience on the Security Interest in Movable Property Registry System (SIMPO).
The meeting will bring together 150 SIMPO users, including banks, SACCOs, microfinance institutions, money lenders, non-deposit taking institutions, and law firms that register movable assets as collateral.
Building on lessons from the inaugural session, this second users’ meeting will feature discussions on system upgrades, new developments, and integration with other government systems, such as the digital number plate project under the Ministry of Works and Transport.
A highlight of the day will be a panel discussion on “Understanding the User Experience on SIMPO and the eTax System,” which will allow participants to share insights, challenges, and suggestions for system improvement.
Key presentations will be delivered by Mr. Agaba Gilbert, Commissioner for Business Registration Services, and Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho, Registrar General, emphasizing URSB’s commitment to efficiency, transparency, and innovation.
By continuously engaging users, URSB aims to make SIMPO more responsive and user-friendly, reinforcing its broader goal of enhancing access to credit and improving service delivery through digital transformation.
