On 12th March 2025, at the Uganda Business Facilitation Center in Kololo, the Registrar General and the Presidential Adviser on Creatives discussed boosting creative sector monetization through improved stakeholder coordination and URSB reforms ahead of World Intellectual Property Day.


URSB Engages Mbarara Business Community at Centenary Bank Client Appreciation Event
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) joined Centenary Bank Mbarara Branch last Friday for a special Client Appreciation Event held at Silverback Hotel, Mbarara. The event brought together members of the business community, loyal customers, and partners to celebrate long-standing relationships and promote business growth in the region.
URSB was represented by Mr. Nicholas Tumwebaze, Regional Head – Mbarara, who addressed participants on the importance of business registration, compliance, and formalization. In his remarks, Mr. Tumwebaze emphasized that maintaining compliance with URSB requirements not only builds business credibility but also opens doors to greater opportunities such as financing, partnerships, and market expansion.
He further highlighted URSB’s ongoing efforts to bring services closer to the people through regional offices and digital platforms, encouraging business owners to take advantage of these channels for faster and more efficient service delivery.
Centenary Bank officials commended URSB for its continuous support toward strengthening the business environment in Mbarara and across the country. The engagement provided a valuable opportunity for the Bureau to interact directly with entrepreneurs, clarify key registration processes, and underscore the shared goal of fostering a formal and thriving business sector.
