URSB Communications Team Graduates in Strategic Media and Digital Literacy Training

In a proud moment of achievement and growth, four members of the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) Communications and Corporate Affairs Division successfully completed the prestigious Strategic Media and Digital Literacy Training for Government Communications Officers.

Organized by the Ministry of ICT & National Guidance in partnership with MultiChoice Africa Holdings (through MultiChoice Uganda) at the National ICT Innovation Hub in Nakawa; the week-long training held from 7th to 11th July forms part of a broader Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting digital literacy, responsible communication, and local capacity building within Uganda’s public sector.

Congratulations to Steven Douglas Baryevuga, Nyangoma Peninah, Mirembe Gloria, and Nalule Maureen Cindy, who were among the select cohort of communicators from various government Ministries, Departments, and agencies.

Officiated by Dr. Aminah Zawedde, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry, the program featured immersive sessions in visual and Event storytelling, Issues & Crisis Management, and communications, as well as localization of government messaging.

The Communications Division celebrates the graduation as a milestone that enhances the team’s ability to deliver professional, innovative, and citizen-focused communication in the digital age.

URSB extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Ministry of ICT and MultiChoice Africa Holdings for this empowering initiative, and salutes its graduates for flying the URSB flag high.
