The exercise aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of copyright management practices, identify areas for improvement, and ensure alignment with national copyright policies and regulatory frameworks. The
URSB team interacted with UPRS staff and management, reviewed operational procedures, and assessed progress on compliance, governance, licensing, enforcement, and rights management systems.

Key focus areas included; Assessment of licensing and royalty distribution processes, Evaluation of data management and reporting structures, Review of stakeholder engagement and awareness efforts,
Identification of challenges affecting performance and sustainability.

The visit provided an opportunity for open dialogue, where both URSB and UPRS reaffirmed their commitment to advancing copyright protection and fostering a transparent and accountable creative sector.

Recommendations arising from the exercise will guide future actions and support capacity-building initiatives within UPRS.
