URSB to celebrate World Intellectual Property Day on APRIL 25, 2025
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) will join the rest of the world to commemorate World Intellectual Property (IP) Day on Friday, 25th April 2025 at the Uganda Business Facilitation Centre (UBFC) in Kololo.
The event will be officiated by the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Hon. Norbert Mao, and will feature celebrated Ugandan vocalist Naava Gray as the guest performer. URSB Board Chairman, Rt. Hon. Ambassador Francis Butagira, and Registrar General, Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho will speak the event.
Senior Presidential Adviser on Creatives, Mr. Edrisa Musuuza, Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro, Minister of state for Minerals in the Ministry of Energy and Minerals Development, alongside a sizeable number of members of parliament will be in attendance.
This year’s celebration is being held under the global theme “IP and Music: Feel the Beat of IP”, focusing on the important connection between intellectual property rights and the music industry. The event will bring together artists, innovators, government officials, policy makers, legal experts, students, and other key stakeholders in the creative economy.
The event promises a vibrant mix of education, celebration, and inspiration, as URSB continues to champion innovation and creativity as drivers of national development.
