URSB Strengthens Partnership with KACITA at Women in Business Conference
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau joined hundreds of women entrepreneurs at the 5th KACITA Women in Business Conference held at Hotel Africana in Kampala, reaffirming its commitment to supporting women-led businesses through formalisation, innovation, and business protection initiatives.
The conference, organized by KACITA Uganda under the theme “Elevate Women: Advancing Women’s Economic Power and Justice,” attracted more than 500 women entrepreneurs from different sectors across the country. The event provided a platform for networking, learning, and engagement on policies affecting women in business.

As proud sponsors of the conference, URSB participated fully through its Board and technical team, who interacted with entrepreneurs and showcased the Bureau’s services aimed at supporting business growth and sustainability. During the event, URSB was awarded a Certificate of Partnership in recognition of its continued collaboration with KACITA Uganda in supporting traders and entrepreneurs.
Speaking during the engagement, URSB officials emphasized the importance of business formalisation in improving credibility, access to financing, and market opportunities. Joseph Kilenga Africa delivered a presentation on business formalisation, while Ruth Lanyero guided participants on SIMPO, Intellectual Property, and Copyright protection, encouraging entrepreneurs to safeguard their brands, ideas, and creative works.

URSB noted that partnerships with organisations such as KACITA remain critical in building an informed, resilient, and inclusive business community, especially for women entrepreneurs driving Uganda’s economic growth.
