URSB to Host BRAP Training to Empower SMEs in Business Recovery
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau, through its Department of Insolvency and Receivership, will hold the Business Rescue and Aftercare Program (BRAP) Training from 29th September to 3rd October 2025. The program is designed to equip entrepreneurs, particularly owners of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), with the knowledge and tools to sustain, rescue, and grow their businesses in today’s challenging economic environment.
SMEs remain the backbone of Uganda’s economy, yet many face difficulties in financial management, market access, and resilience during times of crisis. BRAP provides practical training in business continuity, insolvency prevention, turnaround strategies, and legal frameworks that safeguard enterprises from collapse. Participants will also gain insights into accessing support systems that enhance recovery and long-term sustainability.
The Department of Insolvency and Receivership emphasizes that business rescue is not only about saving struggling enterprises but also about building a culture of preparedness and informed decision-making among entrepreneurs. By fostering financial discipline and recovery planning, BRAP contributes to job preservation, economic growth, and stronger business ecosystems.
URSB staff are encouraged to invite their entrepreneurial friends and networks to register and take advantage of this opportunity. The training offers a rare platform to interact with experts in insolvency, business restructuring, and aftercare support, all aimed at strengthening the future of Ugandan enterprises.
Registration is now open, and slots are available. Entrepreneurs are urged to sign up early and be part of this transformative program.
