URSB Launches Quality Management System document implementation
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) has officially launched the Quality Management System (QMS) document implementation with the primary aim of improving efficiency and service delivery.
The launch took place last week on Thursday, 4th September 2025, at the Uganda Business Facilitation Centre (UBFC) Auditorium, Kololo. The event was officiated by Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho, the Registrar General.
Themed “Walking the Talk, Doing it Right All the Time,” the launch marks a significant milestone in URSB’s journey toward achieving ISO certification. A Quality Management System helps organisations maintain consistency, improve customer satisfaction, and ensure compliance with international standards. For a public body like URSB, this is key to building trust and delivering reliable services to businesses and citizens.
ISO certification is widely recognised as a mark of quality. It gives organisations a framework for improving their operations, reducing errors, and managing risks. For URSB, adopting these standards means greater transparency in its processes, faster service, and a stronger reputation both locally and internationally.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Sylvester Muhereza, Assistant Commissioner-Quality Assurance, stated that the QMS will help staff align their work with established standards while ensuring quality is maintained at every stage. The two-hour event drew top management and staff, who welcomed the initiative as timely and necessary.
With the QMS in place, URSB takes another step toward achieving excellence in service delivery and positioning itself as a modern and reliable government agency.
