URSB Commends MTN MoMo Service at Fintech Directors’ Dinner

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) has applauded MTN’s MoMo service for the convenience it has created in enabling clients to pay seamlessly for services.

This recognition was delivered by Ms. Carol Egesa, Commissioner Registration Services – Insolvency and Receivership (URSB), who represented the Registrar General, Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho, at the MTN Group Fintech Directors’ Dinner held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Kampala.

Ms. Egesa noted that digital financial innovations like MTN MoMo are playing a critical role in advancing service delivery across government agencies and expressed appreciation for the partnership with MTN through MoMo.

This has simplified the way clients pay for URSB services, adding that it was not only convenient but also supported transparency and efficiency, making it easier for the public and businesses to access registration services.

The dinner was graced by key dignitaries, including Dr. Michael Atingi-Ego, Governor of the Bank of Uganda, Ms. Susan Mulinge, CEO of MTN Uganda, Serigne Dioum, CEO of MTN Group Fintech, and Herman Bosman, MTN Group Fintech Chairperson.
