Mass Business Registration drive reaches local businesses in Terego

Staff from the Arua Regional Office took to the airwaves on Arua One radio to spread the word about an upcoming business registration clinic in Terego district. Jacqueline Adroru, a Senior Registration Officer, led the talk-show, skillfully explaining the registration process and its benefits in the local language to ensure clear understanding among listeners throughout the region.

The initiative bore fruit on Labour Day, as officials worked diligently at Kubbala Trading Centre in Terego district, providing on-site business registration services to local entrepreneurs. Despite the holiday, registration staff remained committed to their mission of formalising the local business sector.

The event saw impressive participation, with women entrepreneurs forming the majority of attendees. These business owners listened attentively to presentations outlining the numerous advantages of official registration, including access to financial services, legal protection, and opportunities for business growth.

By the conclusion of the clinic, many of these women had successfully registered their enterprises, taking an important step toward joining the formal economy. This grassroots registration effort represents a significant push to strengthen the local business ecosystem and empower entrepreneurs, particularly women, with the tools needed for economic advancement in Terego district.
