The training, spearheaded by the URSB Board Chair, H.E Amb. Francis Butagira, Board members, and members of senior management for an intensive programme focused on boosting ethical leadership, cybersecurity readiness, and modern governance practices attended Francis Butagira.
The initiative was organised to equip URSB leadership with the skills needed to navigate evolving organisational demands, emerging risks, and complex responsibilities.

Effective governance remains the cornerstone of organisational success, making continuous training a strategic necessity.
The training covered a wide range of subjects, including Board Roles, Stakeholder Management, Ethical Leadership, Change and Transformation Leadership, Strategic Risk Oversight, Global Internet Governance, and the Board’s Role in Cybersecurity.
Participants also explored real-world case studies and engaged in discussions on accountability, transparency, and sustainable performance.
The programme featured expert facilitators from Profweb (PTY) Ltd, a South African-based training Company who guided sessions on AI in cybersecurity, crisis decision-making, emotional intelligence, and leadership models—providing a blend of theory, practical insights, and future-focused governance strategies.
The workshop aimed to enhance URSB’s institutional resilience, ensuring that board members are well-positioned to steer the organisation through technological shifts, regulatory advancements, and increasing public expectations.
The Board Chair commended the initiative as “timely, necessary, and transformative,” reaffirming URSB’s dedication to excellence, accountability, and strategic leadership in the country’s service delivery ecosystem.
