URSB Hosts Uganda’s Ambassador to Türkiye to Discuss Investment Opportunities

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) last week hosted Uganda’s Ambassador to the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Nusura Tiperu, to discuss ways of strengthening investment and trade ties between Uganda and Türkiye.

The courtesy visit focused on how URSB can support Turkish businesses and investors seeking to establish operations in Uganda through efficient registration and business support services.

The Ambassador was received by the Deputy Registrar General, Registries, Mr. Mustapher Ntale, who shared an overview of URSB’s mandate and the services it offers. These include business registration, intellectual property protection, insolvency administration, secured transactions, and the recently established Non-Individual Register.

During the meeting, both parties discussed opportunities to promote Uganda as an attractive investment destination for Turkish businesses. They also explored ways of improving access to information on registration requirements and strengthening collaboration in stakeholder sensitisation and investment promotion activities.

The discussions highlighted the important role that business formalisation and intellectual property protection play in creating a conducive environment for investment and economic growth.

The meeting further explored how investors can benefit from a seamless registration process and the support available to businesses operating in Uganda.

As Uganda continues to attract foreign investment, partnerships between government institutions and Uganda’s diplomatic missions abroad remain important in connecting investors with the services they need to establish and grow their businesses in the country.
