Strengthening Partnerships through Benchmarking: URSB Visits Bank of Uganda

As part of our commitment to foster stronger collaborations and learn from industry best practices, the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) recently conducted a benchmarking visit to the Communication Department of the Bank of Uganda.

The visit, which was part of URSB’s commitment to building government-to-government and peer-to-peer networks, aimed to gain valuable insights and adopt successful communication strategies employed by the Central Bank.

“Strengthening partnerships and aligning our communication approaches is crucial for enhancing service delivery and stakeholder engagement,” said the URSB team. “By learning from the Bank of Uganda’s Communication Department, we hope to refine our organizational visibility, public communication strategies, and targeted outreach to better serve our clients and the community.”

The comprehensive benchmarking exercise covered a wide range of areas, including crisis management, community engagement, and the alignment of communication roles and responsibilities. The URSB team was particularly impressed by the Bank of Uganda’s proactive approach to stakeholder relations and its ability to effectively disseminate information to the public.

“This visit is just the beginning of our planned learning opportunities,” the URSB team added. “We are dedicated to continuous improvement and are excited to apply the insights gained from this benchmarking exercise to strengthen our communication efforts and better serve the people of Uganda.”

The partnership between URSB and the Bank of Uganda exemplifies the government’s commitment to fostering collaborative relationships and leveraging best practices to enhance public service delivery.
