URSB Communications Division retreat reignites strategic vision

The Division of Communications and Corporate Affairs (DCCA) at the Uganda Registration Services Bureau
(URSB) recently concluded a three-day strategic retreat aimed at “Reflecting, Reviewing, and Reigniting” their 5-year communications and corporate affairs strategy.

Held at the scenic Brovad Hotel in Kalangala, the retreat was attended by members of the division and other hand-picked staff from departments to assess their performance, identify new trends, and collaboratively craft a roadmap for the future.

The retreat commenced with a comprehensive performance review, followed by an in-depth exploration of emerging communications trends for 2025 and beyond. “The retreat is an opportunity to step back, analyze our progress, and identify areas for improvement,” said the Ag. Principal Communications Officer, Mr. Denis Nabende.

“By aligning ourselves with the latest industry developments, we shall be better equipped
to deliver impactful communications strategies that support the organisation’s overall
objectives.”

The highlight of the retreat was the strategy formulation sessions, where participants engaged in dynamic brainstorming, breakout discussions, and collaborative planning. Key result areas and success indicators were defined, ensuring a clear path forward for the division’s internal communications, digital initiatives, media relations, and public education efforts. “The retreat was not just about developing a strategy; it was about fostering team cohesion and reigniting our collective resolve for driving URSB’s communications
excellence,” remarked the Senior Communications Officer, Steven Baryevuga.

The retreat concluded with the drafting of a comprehensive communications strategy roadmap for 2025-2030, to lead the institution into a future marked by strategic, impactful, and innovative communications
