URSB Board Chairman champions collaboration for national development
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) Board Chairman, H.E. Amb. Francis Butagira, has emphasised the importance of institutional partnerships in driving national development and enhancing service delivery.
Speaking during a learning visit by the Head of Public Service and Permanent Secretaries at the Uganda Business Facilitation Centre (UBFC) in Kololo, Amb. Butagira reiterated URSB’s commitment to fostering collaboration with public institutions to streamline business registration, legal services, and digital transformation initiatives.
“Having engagements like these fosters collaboration and national development,” Amb. Butagira stated. “Last week, we hosted foreign diplomats here to showcase Uganda as a lead business destination. Strengthening institutions like URSB is essential for creating an efficient system that stimulates investment and economic growth.”

He further noted that effective collaboration between government agencies is crucial in improving service delivery for citizens and ensuring a more transparent and accessible business environment.
He highlighted URSB’s role in driving Uganda’s economic growth by simplifying business registration processes, enhancing intellectual property protection, and embracing digital transformation.
The visit underscored the need for continuous learning and knowledge-sharing among public institutions to build a strong and efficient service delivery agenda for Uganda’s sustainable development.
