URSB celebrates women in stunning pre-International Women’s Day breakfast
It was a vibrant sea of green, purple, and white as URSB staff gathered in the cafeteria to celebrate ahead of International Women’s Day. The memo encouraged female staff to step away from their usual casual Friday attire and come dressed to honour the amazing women that they are – and they certainly rose to the occasion!
Staff in the regional offices attended virtually and enjoyed special breakfasts at their respective locations.
Leading by example, the Registrar General, Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho, looked stunning in a stretch green dress paired with a crisp white cotton jacket, completing her regal look. Ms. Cindy Nalule, one of the event organisers from the Public Relations and Corporate Affairs Unit added a touch of elegance with her long off-shoulder green evening gown and a white fascinator pinned in her hair. The ladies were truly a sight to behold.
A few of the male staff were on hand to assist, managing the registration lists, organising the music, ushering the ladies to their seats, and ensuring the breakfast caterers were ready to serve on time.
One of the celebrants, Ms. Cynthia Mpoza, Senior Legal Officer, praised the excellent organisation of the event.
“The event was well-organised and the speaker was on point. I think she was the perfect choice to uplift us in our careers, families and personal journeys,” she shared.
“My key takeaway was the importance of supporting each other as women. We grow and rise to greater heights; we make a greater impact when we work together.” “It was intimate and impactful,” she concluded.
Ms. Jacqueline Adroru, Registration Officer from the Arua Office, shared a message of gratitude to the organisation for the gesture.
“Thank you to the Bureau for recognising and celebrating us on this special day. Your thoughtfulness and appreciation mean a lot to us! It’s a reminder that our hard work and dedication are valued, and we’re grateful to be part of an organisation that supports and empowers women,” she wrote in an email.
