URSB meets Zombo District CAO to discuss business formalisation
The Arua Regional Office team recently engaged with Mr. Gilbert Abenaitwe, .the Chief Administration Officer (CAO) of Zombo district, in a brief but productive meeting focused on improving business formalisation in the district. The collaboration aims to help local businesses transition from informal to
formal operations, improving their sustainability and access to broader economic opportunities.
During the meeting, both parties discussed strategies to streamline the formalisation process, ensuring that business owners are provided with the necessary tools, information, and support. The goal is to
encourage more entrepreneurs to register their businesses, which will improve their access to financial resources, government services, and other growth opportunities.
Mr. Abenaitwe expressed his commitment to working closely with the Arua team to implement these initiatives, emphasising that formalisation is crucial to the long-term development of Zombo District’s economy. The CAO highlighted the importance of raising awareness about the benefits of formal business practices, including improved legal protection and market expansion.
The meeting concluded with both teams agreeing to develop a comprehensive plan aimed at simplifying the formalisation process and creating a more business friendly environment for local entrepreneurs
in Zombo.
