URSB Celebrates ISO 9001:2015 Milestone, Commits to Improved Service Delivery
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau last week marked a significant milestone after attaining the globally recognized ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification, reinforcing its commitment to quality, efficiency, and improved service delivery.
The achievement reflects the Bureau’s continued efforts to strengthen institutional systems and adopt internationally recognized standards that support transparent, reliable, and customer-focused services. The certification celebration was celebrated both internally and externally and brought together staff and government officials, stakeholders, management, respectively to recognize the progress made in embedding quality management principles across the organization.
ISO 9001:2015 is the world’s leading quality management framework and focuses on enhancing customer satisfaction, improving operational efficiency, promoting risk-based thinking, and encouraging continuous improvement in organizational processes. By attaining this certification, URSB joins institutions worldwide that operate under internationally benchmarked standards designed to ensure consistency, accountability, and excellence in service delivery.
For URSB, the certification signals a strategic step toward strengthening governance structures and improving operational performance across its core mandates, including business registration and intellectual property administration. The adoption of the quality management system also supports the Bureau’s broader goal of providing streamlined, reliable, and transparent services to the public and the business community.
The milestone further demonstrates URSB’s commitment to institutional transformation and continuous improvement. By embedding quality management systems across its operations, the Bureau aims to enhance client experience, promote efficiency, and contribute to Uganda’s economic development through dependable registration and regulatory services.
