URSB Staff and Community Unite in Blood Donation Drive
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), together with members of the surrounding community, participated in a blood donation drive held at the Uganda Business Facilitation Centre (UBFC) in Kololo. The exercise took place on the ground floor and was guided by a dedicated team from the Uganda Blood Transfusion Services (UBTS).
The drive was organized to remind the community that donors provide the only source of life-saving blood for patients in need. Staff members and community participants turned up in large numbers to contribute to this vital cause, restating the importance of compassion and shared responsibility in saving lives.
Speaking during the event, URSB representatives emphasized that giving blood means giving hope, as a single donation can help several patients in emergencies, surgeries, and maternal care. The initiative also reflected URSB’s continued commitment to promoting corporate social responsibility and community well-being beyond its core mandate.
The Uganda Blood Transfusion Services team commended URSB for providing a convenient and supportive venue for the exercise, noting that such partnerships are essential in maintaining the country’s safe and adequate blood supply.
Through this successful drive, URSB demonstrated the power of collective action, showing that every drop counts when it comes to saving lives and building a healthier nation.
