URSB Gears Up for BRAP Training for MSMEs

In just days, Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) will kick off its Business Rescue and Aftercare Program (BRAP) training, running from 29th September to 3rd October 2025 at the UBFC Auditorium, Kololo.

The training is targeting owners and managers of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to equip them with tools to rescue, sustain, and scale businesses in today’s tricky economic environment.

With many businesses struggling due to cash flow disruptions, market shifts, and weak financial planning, BRAP serves as a timely intervention. It offers practical sessions on business continuity planning, legal frameworks around insolvency, turnaround strategies, and how to tap into support systems for recovery.

URSB notes that the initiative is part of its Department of Insolvency and Receivership’s drive to build resilience among Uganda’s business community. The program also encourages MSMEs to embrace preventive measures so that business rescue is not a last resort but a component of ongoing enterprise management.

Participants will benefit from interaction with expert facilitators in insolvency law, finance, operations, and aftercare services. They will also be introduced to URSB’s mediation and support tools to help avoid costly legal battles.

Registration is open; interested MSME operators are urged to sign up early. Slots are limited, and this may be the opportunity many small businesses need to re-strategize, restructure, and emerge stronger amid economic headwinds.
