URSB Set to Launch Quality Management System to Boost Service Delivery
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau will on Thursday, September 4, 2025, officially launch the implementation of its Quality Management System (QMS), marking a major milestone in its drive to improve efficiency and service delivery.
The bureau has successfully concluded the documentation stage of the QMS, including the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions, which are now undergoing final sign-off. The launch will be held at 8:00 AM in the URSB Auditorium, with staff attending physically and online.
The launch represents a transition from documentation to implementation, providing a platform to orient staff on their roles under the QMS. It also signals the rollout of SOPs and work instructions across departments and regions. According to Mr. Sylvester Muhereza|, Assistant Commissioner-Quality Assurance, the QMS will reinforce the Bureau’s commitment to operational efficiency, better service delivery, and adherence to international best practices.
Ahead of the launch, all departments are required to ensure their documents are complete and approved by their respective heads. Quality Champions will coordinate this process, presenting documents for endorsement to facilitate a smooth transition.
URSB management has emphasized that the success of the QMS depends on the active participation of all staff. The system is expected to streamline workflows, strengthen accountability, and improve customer experience.
The launch highlights URSB’s determination to modernize its operations and deliver services that meet the growing expectations of citizens and businesses across the country.
