Top Fashion Designers to showcase at Brand Protection Symposium

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is set to host an impactful Brand Protection Symposium, featuring some of the leading fashion designers.

The event will be attended by industry experts, entrepreneurs, and creatives to explore strategies for protecting brands, intellectual property, and creative works.

Organized in partnership with the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UNCCI), the Pearl of Africa Fashion Alliance (PAFA), and Grooming a Successful Woman with an Intellectual Mind (GSWIM), the symposium will have keynote speakers in the industry engaging to tackle a critical issue faced by many creatives and businesses: loss of originality through imitation and counterfeiting.

The speakers during the symposium are Ms. Sawe Catherine, Mr. Tzibone Solomon, Ms. Priscilla Alinda, and Mr. Dimma Muhammed Mawejje, all renowned names in Uganda’s fashion industry.

The designers will showcase their collections while sharing insights on the importance of brand protection in the creative sector. Their presentations aim to highlight how safeguarding trademarks, designs, and creative assets can help businesses grow, attract investment, and build lasting reputations.

URSB’s symposium seeks to raise awareness on intellectual property rights, providing a platform for entrepreneurs and creatives to learn practical steps for protecting their brands. By engaging top designers, the Bureau emphasizes the connection between innovation, creativity, and legal protection.

The Brand Protection Symposium promises to be an informative and inspiring event, a tool that is key in supporting business growth, creativity, and innovation across Uganda.
