URSB Sports Gala 2025: Four Teams, One Spirit, and a Whole Lot of Fun

The sports Gala was a day of speed, strength, and pure sportsmanship as four URSB teams battled it out during the much-anticipated Annual Sports Gala held on Saturday, July 26th, at Kampala Parents School.

The atmosphere was electric from the get-go, with staff arriving early to soak in the excitement. The games officially kicked off at 9:00 AM with an energetic aerobics session that got hearts racing and muscles warmed up for the action ahead.

The pitch and track were alive with activity as the four URSB teams, IFMS, IPAS, OBRS, and EGP, competed across a line-up of games. From 100 and 200-metre sprints to men’s and women’s relays, Sack race, Human wheelbarrow, and tug of war;  the competition was fierce but friendly.

The sack race had participants hopping for glory, while the tug of war showcased strength and team spirit.

The main activity of the day was football. All eyes were on the field during the clash between IFMS and IPAS. After a hard-fought game, IFMS walked away with a narrow 1-0 win, sealing their victory in what was arguably the most intense match of the day.

The gala was a celebration of unity, wellness, and the unbeatable URSB spirit. The loud laughter, cheers, and team chants proved that URSB is stronger, healthy, and better together.
