URSB Launches Inaugural Case Digest to Improve Legal Reference and Transparency
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) officially launched its first Case Digest on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Uganda Business Facilitation Center (UBFC).
The landmark publication was presented by the Chief Guest, Hon. Justice Mike Chibita, Justice of the Supreme Court of Uganda, during a ceremony attended by members of the judiciary, legal community, and URSB staff.
In his keynote address, Justice Chibita applauded URSB for the milestone, noting that the Case Digest is a timely and vital tool for enhancing legal clarity, consistency in decision-making, and transparency in the administration of registration services. He urged other institutions to emulate URSB’s initiative to promote access to justice and informed legal practice.
The Case Digest compiles landmark decisions, legal interpretations, and precedents arising from URSB’s quasi-judicial functions. It provides a valuable reference for legal practitioners, policymakers, academia, and the public on matters related to business registration, copyright, intellectual property, and insolvency.
The launch of the Case Digest marks another step in URSB’s journey toward building a legally empowered society and improving the integrity of its services through legal literacy and transparency.
