URSB Impresses at Public Service Sports Gala
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) proudly participated in the 14th Africa Public Service Day (APSD) Sports Gala, which kicked off on Friday, June 27th, 2025, at Makerere University Main Sports Ground.
URSB’s football team, embodied in determination and team spirit, opened with back-to-back fixtures against the Ministry of Works and Uganda Prisons.
Despite strong effort and energetic play, the team lost both matches, conceding two goals to the Ministry of Works and one to Uganda Prisons.
Though the scoreboard didn’t reflect their passion, the players gave it their all in what was a highly competitive and spirited Day 1 of the tournament.
“While the results didn’t go our way, we are proud of the resilience and fight shown on the field,” said a team coordinator. “We take the lessons, and we keep going.”
URSB remains focused and motivated as it prepares for its next face-off against the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development.
The APSD Sports Gala, running until July 4th, celebrates teamwork, wellness, and collaboration across public institutions. Activities include football, netball, volleyball, athletics, chess, tug-of-war, as well as sack race, bringing energy and collaboration to Uganda’s public service community.
On and off the pitch, URSB continues to champion the values of integrity, commitment, and transparency, living the spirit of public service with pride.
