URSB represented at Inspire Africa Business Forum launch in Ntungamo
Supporting grassroots efforts and partnering with stakeholders is a sure way of ensuring that entrepreneurship becomes a viable and rewarding path for all Ugandans.
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) was among the key institutions represented at the Africa
Business and Innovation Forum held in Ntungamo under the inspiring theme: “Innovation, Industrialisation and Value Addition for Africa’s Renaissance.“ The initiative aimed at stimulating
entrepreneurship and business development across the region.
The Inspire Africa Business Forum was a timely platform to connect rural-based entrepreneurs with national services, and URSB’s presence reflects the entity’s ongoing mission to take services closer to the people.
The event brought together business leaders, government representatives, young entrepreneurs, and innovators under the banner of empowering local enterprise and driving sustainable economic
transformation.
Speaking at the forum, government officials emphasised the importance of registering businesses early to ensure legitimacy, build trust with customers and financial institutions, and to gain access to government programs and markets. URSB’s role of formalising the economy was highlighted with these recommendations.
The Africa Business and Innovation Forum served as a strategic platform for URSB to connect with regional stakeholders and reiterate the value of compliance, formalisation, and protection of intellectual property in unlocking Africa’s development potential.
The forum brought together policymakers, entrepreneurs, development partners, and innovators from across the region to explore practical solutions for Africa’s economic transformation through innovation and value addition.
