The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) joined forces with Grooming a Successful Woman with Intellectual Mind (GSWIM) on Thursday, 22nd May 2025, to deliver essential knowledge on branding and trademark protection to women entrepreneurs. The mentorship session, held at GSWIM’s offices in Seeta – Bugoba Village, brought together business-minded women eager to protect their intellectual property and strengthen their brand presence in the marketplace.
GSWIM founder and Managing Director Ms. Lillian Nantume Mubiru welcomed participants alongside her dedicated team, emphasising the importance of empowering women with practical business knowledge. The organisation continues its mission of nurturing successful female entrepreneurs through targeted educational initiatives.
URSB’s delegation was expertly led by Ms. Maria Nyangoma, Assistant Commissioner for Trademarks and
Geographical Indications, who shared insights on navigating Uganda’s trademark registration process.
Supporting the session were Clara Tumwine, Registration Officer; Fiona Karungi, Project Support Officer – Legal; and Allen Asiimwe, Project Support Officer – Communications.
