URSB visits Tanzania Business Registry for learning and benchmarking

On 14th April 2025, a delegation composed of the Registrar General and Director Business Registration was hosted by the Business Registrations and Licensing Agency (BRELA) on a benchmarking visit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The visit was driven by a shared commitment to excellence and a desire to foster collaboration. Specifically, the visit was aimed at: learning best practices, exploring areas for collaboration and cooperation, identifying areas to facilitate ease of doing business within the EAC, as well as identifying service areas in the respective agencies that can be adopted to improve Performance within our respective organisations.

The Registrar General, Ms. Mercy K Kainobwisho, appreciated Mr. Godfrey Nyaisa, the CEO BRELA, for the cordial working relationship between the two agencies and pledged continuous engagement.

She also noted that BRELA presented key learning areas, especially in terms of human capital management, as well as communication and awareness. She later visited BRELA’s content generation studio, where she was hosted for an interview.
