URSB’s Digital Transformation Gains Momentum as UNOC Benchmarks Best Practices
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) last week hosted a delegation from the Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC), for a benchmarking engagement focused on URSB’s digital transformation journey.
Led by Mr. Edgar Tusingwire, the visit builds on the growing importance of collaboration among public institutions as Uganda advances toward more efficient, technology-driven service delivery.
Built on trust, the engagement provided a platform for open exchange on lessons learned, best practices, and practical approaches to leveraging digital solutions.
Led by the Commissioner of ICT, Arthur Kwesiga, URSB demonstrated how sustained investment in digital systems has strengthened service delivery, improved transparency, and enhanced the customer experience for citizens and businesses alike.
For UNOC, the engagement offered a learning opportunity that can inform its digital initiatives.
The UNOC benchmarking adds to a strong culture of institutional learning at URSB. Throughout 2025, URSB has undertaken several benchmarking engagements with key government agencies and regional partners, focusing on digital registries, system integration, data governance, and customer-centric service models.

These engagements have been influential in driving organizational growth, streamlining internal processes, and underpinning innovation as a core value.
URSB remains committed to inter-agency collaboration as a critical driver of public sector efficiency. By sharing knowledge and learning from one another, institutions can strengthen systems and deliver greater value to the public.
URSB appreciates UNOC’s productive engagement and looks forward to continued collaboration to advance digital transformation across government.
