Job Title: Project Officer-IP Records

Job Purpose
To receive and appropriately manage records in line with legal and policy frameworks for the management of records.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Reconciling physical and digital records relating to Patents, Industrial designs and Trademarks.
- Verify and update the application statuses of trademark files such as renewals, expirations and removals.
- Facilitate the compliance process of registered trademark proprietors by identifying missing information such as contracts and addresses.
- Receiving and processing records
- Recording and keeping track of files/records movement in the Bureau.
- Monitoring access to the registry and restricting entry by non-registry staff to foster document safety.
- Maintaining an efficient document numbering, classification and indexing system to ease retrieval, filing and re-shelving of files.
- Carrying out searches for enquiries and requests for information from both internal and external clients and generating corresponding reports.
- Protecting records from loss or damage
Personal Specifications
Academic Qualifications
An honours degree in either Records and Archives Management, Information Management, or Library and Information Science from a reputable University or Institution.
