URSB Joins 13th Employer–Employee Exchange Expo to Boost Youth Employability
Makerere University Business School (MUBS) on March 31st and 1st April hosted the 13th Employer–Employee Exchange Expo, drawing a strong turnout of students eager to explore internships, graduate programs, and career opportunities.
The two-day expo, held under the theme “AI for Employability: Preparing Talent for the Future of Work,” brought together industry leaders, employers, and students in a vibrant platform for career engagement.

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) participated actively, showcasing its business registration services and offering guidance on career paths for young professionals. Students lined up at the URSB booth to learn about internships, graduate programs, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Organized by the MUBS Career and Skills Development Office, the event provided students with insights into the rapidly changing job market. With support from the U.S. Embassy in Uganda and participation from leading organisations, the expo emphasised the importance of Artificial Intelligence skills and career readiness.

URSB noted that supporting youth employability requires collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment from all stakeholders. The bureau’s involvement underscores its dedication to equipping the next generation with tools to navigate the future of work.
“This expo is a vital platform for students to connect directly with employers and gain hands-on knowledge about industry expectations,” said a MUBS representative.
Through initiatives like this, MUBS continues to strengthen its commitment to producing industry-ready graduates, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional careers.
