Registrar General Urges Women to Uplift One Another
The Registrar General, Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho, has urged women staff to support and uplift one another, calling for unity and self-confidence in the workplace and beyond.
In her Women’s Day 2026 message to staff, she praised the strength and resilience of women, noting their vital role in shaping institutions and society. “Always remember to uplift yourselves and those around you,” she said, encouraging women to focus on growth and positivity.
She cautioned against negativity and unhealthy competition, stressing that women should not find satisfaction in pulling others down. Instead, she called for respect and understanding, even in diverse environments.

Ms. Kainobwisho also highlighted the importance of addressing challenges with empathy. She advised women to guide and support one another privately, rather than criticise publicly. “If someone is going astray, talk to them aside,” she noted.
The Registrar General emphasized that women are a powerful force capable of influencing decisions and driving change in public institutions. She encouraged them to remain focused, confident, and intentional in their roles.
She further urged women to let go of anything that diminishes their worth, avoid unnecessary conflict, and channel their energy toward personal and professional growth.
She concluded with a call for reflection, forgiveness, and unity, as women continue to show up and contribute to national development.
Her remarks reinforced the importance of solidarity among women in building stronger institutions.
