URSB Deepens Public Outreach During Customer Engagement Week in Jinja City

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) conducted its Annual Customer Engagement Week in Jinja City, reinforcing its commitment to bringing registration services closer to communities and strengthening partnerships with stakeholders across the region.

Held from 9th to 12th December 2025, the four-day outreach brought together business owners, financial institutions, and key stakeholders in a series of targeted engagements aimed at improving service delivery and promoting business formalisation.

URSB teams conducted stakeholder visits across Jinja City and surrounding areas, providing a platform to address client concerns, gather feedback and enhance collaboration for enterprise growth.

All activities were coordinated from Tropical Bank, Jinja Branch on Main Street, which served as the central walk-in engagement hub.

The teams provided on-the-spot registration services, enabling entrepreneurs to register business names, companies, partnerships, and intellectual property. Clients also benefited from live demonstrations of the Online Business Registration System (OBRS) and the Security Interest in Movable Property Registration System (SIMPO), displaying URSB’s ongoing digital transformation efforts.

URSB further held sensitizations with the business community in areas of Naminya, Njeru, and Kaziminji, focusing on the importance of compliance, protection of business identities, and the opportunities that come with operating within Uganda’s formal economy. These interactive forums encouraged open dialogue and real-time responses to service-related inquiries.

To enhance participation, URSB introduced a “Register and Win” promotion, rewarding clients who formalised their businesses during the week with branded giveaways.
