“Together, we reflect on our journey, celebrate progress, and align our efforts for an even stronger and more impactful year ahead.”
Last week, the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) convened its 2025 Annual Staff General Meeting (AGM), reaffirming its commitment to strong corporate governance, teamwork, and service excellence.
Held at the UBFC Car Park, the gathering brought together staff from the Head Office, Georgina House, and all regional branches, demonstrating the organisation’s dedication to collective engagement and unified direction.
The AGM provided a platform for staff to reflect on key milestones achieved over the past five years, assess institutional progress, and consolidate gains that continue to shape URSB’s service delivery.

Guided by a shared vision, staff aligned on strategic priorities for the year ahead, renewing their commitment to excellence, innovation, and service above self.
A major highlight of the meeting was the launch of the new Human Resource Manual, introduced by the Human Resource Department. The updated manual outlines several new policy changes designed to strengthen staff welfare, streamline processes, and enhance organisational efficiency.
The session also featured a review of the Action Log from the previous General Staff Meeting, giving staff an opportunity to track progress on earlier commitments. Presentations were made on responses to issues submitted through the online staff platform, alongside a detailed account of URSB’s milestones under the leadership of the current Registrar General, Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho.
With renewed energy and strengthened alignment, the AGM set a positive tone for the year, reinforcing URSB’s focus on impactful, people-centred service delivery.
