URSB Exhibition at MoFPED Customer Service Week Aligns with Formalisation Agenda
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) took centre-stage during the recent “Customer Service Week” organised by the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) under the theme “Public Financial Management Systems for Growth and Improved Service Delivery.”
At the event, URSB had an exhibition stand alongside other Government agencies, showcasing its services in business registration, intellectual property rights, Insolvency and Receivership regulation, and the registry for movable property security interests. Staff provided on-the-spot advice and engaged with visitors on how to register a business, protect creative works, or formalise operations.
This participation directly supports URSB’s mandate to formalize the economy and make registration services accessible, transparent, and efficient. By integrating its services into the customer service week, URSB helped bridge the gap between citizens and regulatory processes, thereby enhancing public service delivery and promoting financial inclusion.
The event provided businesses, entrepreneurs, and the public with a one-stop opportunity to engage with URSB and understand how registration can unlock access to credit, partnerships, legitimacy, and growth.
In alignment with MoFPED’s focus on strengthening public financial management systems, URSB’s exhibition emphasised how properly registered entities contribute to predictable revenue, credible statistics and stronger institutional frameworks.
For URSB, the week offered a platform to highlight its digital reforms, customer service charter, and its role as a partner in national development. Moving forward, URSB pledged to build on these engagements to improve its service channels and deepen outreach.
