ISBAT University Students Explore ICT Innovations at URSB

Last week, on 24th October 2025, the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) had the pleasure of hosting students from ISBAT University, Kampala, for an Industrial Awareness Visit at the Uganda Business Facilitation Center, Kololo.

The visit aimed to expose students to URSB’s cutting-edge ICT infrastructure, data center operations, and cybersecurity initiatives, deepening their understanding of how technology supports national registration and business services.

The day was a success, marked by engaging discussions between the students and the ICT team. The enthusiasm and curiosity demonstrated by the students truly enhanced the overall experience, making it memorable for everyone involved.

Representatives from ISBAT University introduced the visiting group and expressed their gratitude to the bureau for facilitating such a valuable learning opportunity.

Key presentations were delivered by Mr. Elly Abaho, who provided an overview of URSB’s ICT infrastructure, and Mr. Andrew Agaba, who discussed the organization’s network and cybersecurity framework. The visit also included a guided tour of the URSB Data Center, where students witnessed real-time system operations and learned about digital security practices.
