ROTARACT CLUB OF AKRIGHT CITY, URSB DISCUSS COMMUNITY SUPPORT PARTNERSHIP
The Rotaract Club of Akright City has entered discussions with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) to forge a strategic partnership aimed at supporting communities through impactful development initiatives.
The meeting, held at the URSB headquarters in Kololo, was convened to explore how shared values of service, innovation, and inclusion can directly benefit citizens, especially the young members in Rotaract Clubs.
Rotary’s mission of advancing community development and uplifting livelihoods aligns closely with URSB’s registration mandate aimed at supporting communities to get formal and reap economic and social benefits.
The Rotaract Club delegation highlighted priority areas including youth empowerment, access to legal and business advisory services, and innovation support-related initiatives.
The team expressed optimism that URSB’s nationwide presence and expertise in business formalization could greatly enhance Rotary’s outreach by equipping communities with tools for self-reliance.
Both parties agreed to identify joint areas of action, with emphasis on training youth and women entrepreneurs, raising awareness on intellectual property rights, and supporting innovations that can drive local economic transformation. The proposed partnership is expected to roll out pilot activities in early 2026, signaling a strong commitment by both URSB and the Rotaract Club of Akright City to advance Uganda’s social and economic growth through community-focused interventions.
