Registrar General Supports Fundraising Drive for Mama Kariisa Maternity Ward
The Registrar General Ms. Mercy K. Kainobwisho, joined other distinguished contributors last week in a fundraising event aimed at supporting the construction of the Mama Kariisa Maternity Ward at Rubaare Health Centre in Ntungamo District.
The initiative was attended by community members, leaders, and well-wishers in an effort to enhance maternal health services in the region. During the event, Ms. Kainobwisho commended the organizers for their commitment to improving healthcare for mothers and newborns.
In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of providing safe, dignified, and well-equipped facilities where women can give birth with confidence and care.
The event was organized under the leadership of Hon. Kin Kariisa in partnership with the Rotary Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf, whose efforts continue to support initiatives that strengthen community health and well-being.
The new maternity ward will serve as a lasting contribution to improving healthcare access and ensuring safer deliveries for mothers in Ntungamo District.
