URSB’s Spirit in Full Swing as Deputy Registrar General Flags Off 2025 Sports Gala
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) brought out its competitive and colorful side over the weekend as staff gathered at Kampala Parents School for the 3rd edition of the URSB Annual Sports Gala.
The event was officially opened by the Deputy Registrar General, Mr. Alex Anganya, who applauded the Bureau’s commitment to staff well-being and unity.
“It is a pleasure for me to stand before you today as we officially open the 3rd edition of the URSB Sports Gala,” he said. “On behalf of the Registrar General and the Top Management Team, I warmly welcome you all to what promises to be a fun-filled, energetic, and memorable day.”
Mr. Anganya emphasized the importance of wellness and team spirit in the workplace, noting that the Gala reflects URSB’s efforts beyond service delivery.
“As URSB, we are not only committed to delivering on our mandate of efficient service delivery, but also to building a strong, motivated, and healthy workforce. Today is a reflection of that commitment.”
Participants competed in a range of events, including relays, sack races, Human wheelbarrow, tug of war, and football, showcasing energy and teamwork.
“To all the teams, I encourage you to give your best. Play hard, play fair, and most importantly, enjoy yourselves,” he added.
Mr. Anganya concluded by officially declaring the event open, calling it a “reminder that even in our busy schedules, we must take time to prioritize our well-being.”
