URSB Takes Part in 2025 National PR Symposium to Strengthen Strategic Communication
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) joined key institutions and professionals at the 4th National Public Relations Symposium, organized by the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) on July 25, 2025, at the Imperial Royale Hotel, Kampala.
This year’s theme, “From Strategy to the C-Suite: Elevating PR to the Boardroom,” highlighted the essential role of public relations in governance and executive leadership.
The event gathered communication experts, CEOs, and government representatives to discuss the evolving PR landscape. URSB’s participation demonstrated its commitment to transparency, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communication as vital for national development.

A key moment was the speech delivered on behalf of the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament by Hon. Esther Anyakun, a Member of Parliament and state minister for Gender, Labour, and Social Development, who expressed government support for the Public Relations Bill aimed at formalizing PRAU’s legal standing and enhancing ethical standards in the profession.
She stated, “I’m pleased to learn that PRAU is in the process of formalizing its legal status. This is a commendable move, and I pledge my support.”
Panel discussions addressed topics such as boardroom readiness, personal branding, crisis management, and public policy advocacy. PRAU President Ms. Irene Nakasiita emphasized the importance of strategic communication, saying, “We are not just spokespeople; we are brand custodians and thought leaders shaping Uganda’s narrative.”
